Senior Loan Administrator - Commercial Real Estate

This position’s primary responsibility is to provide support in the Commercial Real Estate functions associated with Commercial Real Estate loan production and processing. Along with the key functions listed below, each person will be expected to uphold the value that Washington Federal places on simply being nice when servicing our co-workers and Washington Federal clients.

 

Key Functions:

  • Responsible for all aspects of loan closing including ordering and reviewing third party reports, balancing construction budgets, reviewing and negotiating loan documents.

  • Process monthly construction and development draws and coordinate inspections with third party servicers. Advise Loan Officers of any draw inaccuracies.

  • Work in a team environment at WAFD’s corporate headquarters.

  • Train junior Loan Administrators.

  • Maintain accurate system records.

  • Process payoff requests and facilitate reconveyances.

  • Maintain a working knowledge of WFS policies and procedures as well as regulatory guidelines.

  • Assist Loan Officers and Analysts as needed.

  • Perform master file maintenance, ensure accuracy and completeness.

Job Evaluation Factors:

Education/Skills/Training:

  • Bachelors Degree, or High School equivalent plus experience 

Experience:

  • Minimum 5-years experience processing construction and land development projects.

  • Must have a good understanding of commercial real estate lending terminology and closing requirements.

  • Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with a wide range of customers.

  • Excellent computer skills, including Windows applications (WORD and EXCEL are essential).

  • Proficient 10-key and/or financial calculator skills.

  • Accurate typing and general office skills.

  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and follow through on work assignments with minimal supervision.
