Job Description

Under the direction of the Wholesale Manager, this position's primary function is to receive, review, and fund loan packages received from a variety of authorized mortgage brokers.  Washington Federal is proud of the high value that we all place on simply being nice when serving our co-workers and Washington Federal clients.

Key functions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Receive, review, and fund incoming loan packages from brokers according to Washington Federal policies and procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Answer questions regarding loan programs, policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Follow-up on closed loan files shipped to the Loan Servicing Department.
  • Prepare committment letters and fair credit letters.
  • Monitor and maintain communication with brokers.
  • Monitor commitment and lock-in files.
  • Provide clerical support to the Department such as filing, ordering office supplies, sorting and distributing mail, and other duties as assigned.
  • Interact with Washington Federal's lending clients, real estate agents, brokers, mortgage companies, title companies, and various governmental agencies.

Job Schedule

Job schedule varies based on branch hours of operation.

Requirements

Position requires a High School diploma, or approved equivalent.  The ideal candidate will have strong math and typing (45-55 wpm) skills, 10-key, and filing.  Must be detail-oriented and have excellent organizational and communication skills.  The selected applicant will be able to work independently and with little supervision.  Previous loan processing experience and familiarity with loan documents preferred.
